Why doesn't the e-mail feature work?
The Project Management software by default sends out e-mails to the appropriate task assignees, task contacts or or project contacts when tasks are assigned or changed unless the "E-mail Log to" feature is unchecked.
The "E-mail log to feature can be found when you create or edit a task log on the "New Log" tab in the "View Task" screen under the description field. You may also send an e-mail to extra recipients by adding a comma separated list of recipients e-mail addresses in the "Extra Recipients" field.
Note: The creator or editor of a task or log will not receive an e-mail about the changes they made as they already are aware of the changes because they accomplished them.
Note: When you edit any task, in any way and the "E-mail Log to" is checked an update will be e-mailed to the checked recipients.
Note: The "E-mail Log to" defaults can be adjusted in the "System Admin" area under "Default User Preferences"
Note: If recipients are not receiving e-mails, please check your spam box. You may need to add the Smooth Projects server to your safe senders list.
