Task reminders, if turned on in the System Admin area, will send out and e-mail to all assignees when a task is due and every day it is overdue until completed.
There are also settings for how many days in advance of the task due date to send a reminder and how many should be sent. (I.e. Total number of reminders that will be sent, including pre-due date and overdue reminders)

For the reminder feature to work a cron must be set up by Remedysoft, Inc. for you on the server that will automate the sending of the e-mails. Please contact support if you would like to implement this feature.

Please keep in mind that while this reminder feature may be a fit for some organizations, it is not for most due to the increased number of e-mails that are sent. Most of the clients who have asked for this feature to be installed have asked for it to be removed. The Project Management software by default already sends out e-mails to the appropriate assignees, project contacts or owners when tasks are assigned or changed. (Note: the creator or editor will not receive these e-mails when they are the ones delegating or editing the task)
