Changing the name (text label) of a status is pretty easy to do.
For instance changing the text on the tab from "Proposed" to "Potential" or "In Progress" to "Ongoing".

However please be warned:

• DO NOT delete or change the order of the index numbers especialy If you have projects already set up.
• The formatting of these value must be in the same format as you found it by default for the system to run correctly. (I.e. "3|In Progress")
• 0|Not Defined, 6|Template & 7|Archived have hard coded routines associated with them. These program routines use the index number 0, 6 & 7 to run so they must remain intact.

If you need additional statuses it is OK to add a status.

Here's how to customize the status tabs:

Click on "System Admin"
Click on "System Look up Values"
Click the "Edit Icon" for Project Status"

By default the values are:
0|Not Defined
1|Proposed
2|In Planning
3|In Progress
4|On Hold
5|Complete
6|Template
7|Archived
